Lucy is 1! | Raleigh Family Photographer

Oh.My.Goodness!  The cuteness overload associated with this session was almost too much to handle.  I have had the opportunity to do several sessions with this family and I just love them more and more each time- and the girls are just so natural in front of the camera- watch out momma!

This session was all about Lucy's first birthday! We went to Baileywick Park in Raleigh to start the session and did some family pictures as well as individual ones of the kids.  Since Lucy isn't much of a cake gal (I only wish that was me!!) we went back to their house and instead of doing a Smash Cake, Lucy and family participated in a painting project with homemade paint!  It was a perfect idea and the shots from this session that we were able to get were absolutely priceless.  The painting was a number 1 that was outlined in painters tape- so that once the paint around dried, the tape would be peeled off. I have seen the final result and it is really awesome.  The best part of it is that the family will not only have these pictures as a memory of Lucy's birthday but they will also always have the final product from the painting.

I had so many favorite pictures from this session so it was hard to pick just a couple to share with everyone, but here are some!  Looking forward to doing something like this again in the future!  Happy Birthday Lucy!!

Richardson Family |North Raleigh Family Photographer

The Richardson Family were the winners of a free mini session for a fundraiser for the Raleigh Moms Care organization (if you haven't checked out this organization, please do).

I met this gorgeous family for the first time on an extremely cold day (like in the high 20s) but you could not tell one bit by looking at them!  They were such a fun and action filled family- it was great!  Mr G kept such a fantastic attitude in the weather, he was truly a perfect client for me.  And have you seen those AMAZING gorgeous blue eyes??? Seriously, a real natural in front of the camera!

Thank you R family for such a wonderful time and I look forward to seeing you all again in the future!  Here are a couple pictures from the session to share, it was hard to pick just a couple, but here are a couple of my favorites.

The E Family | American Tobacco Campus | Durham Family Photographer

The E family recently moved down from the DC area right before our session.  After an abundance of rain prior to our date we decided to head over to the American Tobacco Campus in Durham.  Such a great location for any kind of session and especially around the holidays.  The campus had lights throughout and TROSA had a wonderful Christmas Tree farm with all sorts of decorations from various groups and organizations.

I loved getting to meet this lovely family and seeing these two brothers have a wonderful time together.  They had a blast with each other and I loved getting to see that with siblings and most importantly capturing that!

I hope that you guys are settling in to Raleigh - we are so glad to have you!  Welcome home!

I am sure by now you are quite familiar with these two.  I have had the absolute pleasure of photographing them since I moved back to this area- a little over 2.5 years now.  Not only have I been friends with their mom for many years (we will just leave the number off), but almost two years ago we moved into the same neighborhood.   It has been such a wonderful experience getting to see these two grow up, not to mention very convenient to have clients so close!     Both X and B were fantastic during their session and I think we got some great shots of them individually showing their personalities and also together showing that sibling love!

H Family Session | Dorothea Dix Campus | Raleigh Photographer

Love this family!  I have been working with them since I started this business and am so grateful for their support.  I have been able to seem them go from a family of two, to three, to now four! Yes, in case you couldn't tell from the pictures (because she looks AWESOME), this family is going to be gaining a baby girl in 2016.  Can't wait!!   It is such an exciting time for their family and seeing just how much Mr J has grown since his newborn session is one of my favorite parts of doing what I do.  Stephanie and Chris will be moving to the Cary area so as we were talking about plans for their session, she suggested doing one last one with the Raleigh skyline in the back and I am so glad that we did. This is truly an amazing spot that can help bring in both the park feel and downtown aspect in one place which is awesome.  I couldn't be happier with how this whole session came out- Thank you again H Family!  I can't wait to meet Baby Girl H :)
