So I will be the first to admit that I have fallen beyond behind in my blogging! Things have been busy which is awesome but it has left little time for writing on some of the most amazing people that I get to work with daily doing this. The good part is all clients have received their galleries before I have had a chance to do their blog post :) Time to get to writing!
From my portfolio, you can tell that I predominately work outside in natural light. I love it – there is nothing like seeing the colors pop in a picture from its own element. So you can imagine my excitement when I was asked to photograph Kristi and Mary’s outdoor wedding. The excitement level turned up a notch when I saw their backyard for their wedding! It felt like a private oasis; truly gorgeous. I will not be surprised at all when I pick up Home and Gardens one day and see their back yard. From the landscaping to the true ability to entertain- including hosting a wedding- it is just perfect.
We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day to help celebrate their nuptials. The sky was bright and blue with the sun shining in full effect. The love that was surrounding them was apparent and filled their back yard. Family, friends, neighbors, and even those far away via Skype came to help celebrate this special day.
The ceremony while short had handwritten personal vows and one of the best ring exchanges I have seen. While their rings were being custom made to include the fingerprints of their two boys they improvised using Ring Pops. It was a perfect touch that fit their personalities and awesome humor. The ceremony was followed by a great picnic style BBQ, cake, and swimming!
I am so glad that Kristi and Mary had me capture their special day. I loved being a part of it and am very happy for these two! Congrats to the four of you!
